    You've already caught the home-brewing bug and mastered the basics of extract brewing. Maybe you're even getting comfortable making your own recipes.

    So, what's next? How do you make your beer taste just like the pros? 

    This one-day class will cover the basics of how to create an all-barley beer, from mashing techniques to the math and chemistry of the process. This class will also include an in-depth look into scaling recipes, incorporating mechanical upgrades to your system, and how to start thinking about brewing your creations on a much larger scale. 

    The total cost for this class is $199 for one person* or $329 for two, which includes one set of books, materials, a sampling glass, hands-on instruction, a tasting, and light refreshments.

    *If you attended Intro to Home Brewing, the cost for the advanced course is $149 for one, which does not include another set of books.


    Know Your Brewer 101: Brad Moyer
    A true believer in all things fermented, Brad is a 2007 graduate of Penn State University with degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Business Management.

    Hailing from Pottsville, PA, he jokes about growing up with beer in his blood and Yuengling Lager piped straight to his house along with hot and cold tap water. His brewing resume has led him to such breweries as Dogfish Head, Appalachian Brewing, Troegs, Bubes Brewery, and Scotzin Brothers Homebrew. He is currently working toward opening his new brewery, Liquid Noise Brewing Co., which is scheduled to open in August. 

    To this day he still homebrews and is currently the president of the area’s most award-winning brew club: The Sons of Alchemy. Most recently, he has expanded his knowledge into traditionally fermented foods and wild bacteria fermentation. His experience and passion for the craft will guide you through an interactive journey to deciding if you want to dip your toes into making beer at home, or maybe opening the areas next biggest brewery.
